The Marc Lavry Heritage Society promotes Marc Lavry’s music by educating audiences about his work and life, and providing musicians and musicologists a reference guide to sheet music, scores and audio tracks.
The top priorities of the Society are to:
- increase the number of performances of Lavry’s music
- expand the audience base of the composer’s music
- promote discussions about Lavry
The Society is currently working to produce the opera Dan the Guard (Dan Hashomer) and is looking for both financial support and professionals who are interested in collaborating in such an effort. Please contact us for more information.
The Society was founded by Orie Zaklad, a digital marketing and branding professional, and by Efrat Lavry, the composer’s daughter, a renowned harpist and formerly the Haifa Symphony Orchestra’s manager. Ms. Lavry is also Chairman of the Board. Mr. Zaklad runs the Society’s strategy and all marketing programs. A major contributor to the Society’s efforts is Dan Lavry, the composer’s son, and founder of Lavry Engineering, manufacturer of ultra high-end audio equipment used by the most prominent studios around the world.
