Synopsis:
The poem describes the Kineret (Sea of Galilee), the beautiful calm landscape that surround it and regards the lake a miracle. The words, their rhythm and the landscape are the inspiration to Lavry’s streaming music.

Tche-let sha-ma-yim mo-she-chet ba-rom
Ve-sod ‘ein ha-che-ker mo-shech ‘e-lei t’hom.
Kol ya-gon ve-chol ‘o-sher ve-gil me-le pa-chad —

‘Al gal-la-yich, kin-ne-ret, la-shut ‘ad bli sof,
Bach hish-tak-kef ve-le-‘e-hov, le-‘e-hov,
Hish-tap-pech be-rin-nah u-ve-ve-chi gam ya-chad.

Kin-ne-ret, kin-ne-ret, ‘at pe-le kol pe-le,
‘E-lo-ha han-ne-tzach bach chai bit-ho-mot,
Ta-chat sha-ma-yich lich-yot ve-la-mut

    I have been looking for this song over the past (seriously!) 50+ years. I had an old LP with Martha Schlamme but can’t find any mention of it anywhere. Anybody heard of it?
